About Mr Cole

Hello and welcome to Mr Cole Science! I’m a science teacher based in the UK, specialising in A-Level Chemistry, A-Level Physics, and GCSE Science. I created this website to help students like you get confident with science — whether you’re just starting out, catching up, or preparing for final exams.

Everything here is designed to support your learning — clear videos, structured revision, exam-style questions, and walkthroughs to help you master tricky concepts and avoid common mistakes.

I believe everyone can succeed in science with the right tools and the right mindset — and that’s exactly what you’ll find here.

Learn - Revise - Practise Approach

I’ve structured this whole site around three simple steps to help you build real confidence. This approach turns passive learning into active revision — the most effective way to truly prepare for science exams.

Why I Created This Site

After years of teaching in the classroom, I realised something: students need more than just notes and textbook pages — they need structured, accessible support that they can rely on outside of lessons.

YouTube was a great place to start, but I wanted to go further — to create a full digital classroom where every topic is broken down clearly, backed up with questions and resources that make sense, and actually help you get better at tackling exam questions.

Whether you’re revising for AQA, OCR or Edexcel, this site gives you what you need; no fluff, no filler — just focused science content made for real students.

The Learn - Revise - Practise Approach

I’ve structured this whole site around three simple steps to help you build real confidence. This approach turns passive learning into active revision — the most effective way to truly prepare for science exams.

1 - Learn

Step-by-step teaching videos that explain core ideas clearly, with worked examples, tips, and tasks for you to complete to help you understand, not just memorise content.

2 - Revise

Once you’ve covered the content, test what you can remember. Try a mind dump, a mind map, or just pause the video and write everything you know before watching the recap.

3 - Practise

Apply your knowledge with topic-based questions, exam-style papers, and detailed walkthroughs so you can see how to get full marks and where students commonly go wrong.

A little more about me...

I’ve been teaching science for over a decade, working with thousands of students from all kinds of backgrounds — and I’ve seen what works and what doesn’t.

I know that science can feel overwhelming. That’s why I focus on breaking it down, making it visual, and showing you exactly what examiners are looking for.

I’ve designed every video, worksheet and walkthrough to be useful, not just “educational.” This is practical, clear science — made by someone who understands the pressure students are under.

What students need to know

Revision isn’t about re-reading. It’s about remembering.

If you do nothing else before a video, do this: grab a piece of paper, and write down everything you can remember about the topic before you hit play.

That small step — the “mind dump” — activates your brain and makes the learning that follows stick so much better.
